Sat 6th March
we stayed at home for most of the day, writing a letter to all of our supporters back home. We feel so honoured and blessed by them. All of the work here is voluntary so without funding, we would have to come home.
In the evening, we were invited to dinner by the Michalkes and had a long discussion about our future. We still believe this particular trip is for 6 months only. We really miss our families, church family, Bible study groups and our friends back home. We believe there is still work to be done in high wycombe before committing to HCJB for a longer term. However, 'In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.'
We will wait on God for direction.
Sun 7th March
We decided to commit to the Baptist church here. A very moving sermon on Haggai about putting God first in our lives and putting His plans before our own was very fitting.
In the evening, we were told about this great spot (shown in the photos above) called BBQ hill. We actually found the hill fairly easily and the view was lovely, but there were no BBQs and no signs, so we thought it must be the wrong hill and drove back down and through several creeks looking for another. Oh well, it was an adventure and all the scenery here is well worth a visit.
