Happy Mothers Day Jodi

For those of you who do not get Jodi's sense of humour, consider the two photos she posted...

Photo 1 shows me helping Jodi so that she did not stumble on the rocky floor whilst joining me in the cool, but not cold water (we may have aclimatised up here, and the water was truly refreshing)

Photo 2 shows Jodi sad to leave what was probably the most spectacular view and picture perfect pool we have been privileged to visit so far.

Below are two photos taken between 1 and 2.

In the first, those two small heads are Jodi and I under a waterfall that looked like large diamonds suspended in the air

In the second, was that a smile on Jodi's face? Of course it was - what an experience!!! No camera footage could do it justice. In the background is a busload of retirees wanting to see what we saw

What you did not see was another waterfall just off to the right that was very warm water. Jodi refused to bathe under it - which also shows that she was not as cold as she made out.

Our children played in this most of the time we were there. It was like a large sauna and bathtub/spa

So, seriously, Sunday consisted of Church in the morning where we were reminded to submit to our leaders, we celebrated communion together where we once again rejoiced in remembering that Jesus Christ died in our place - as payment in full for our sins and that He rose again and is seated at the right hand of God.

We then had a fellowship supper with our brothers and sisters in Christ before jumping in our 4wds to head out and enjoy the wonders of God's creation at Emma Gorge.

We arrived back at the cafeteria just on dark. Jasmine managed to convince another dad from the Baptist church that she had a sore ankle and he carried her back most of the way. In this photo here, she has stopped briefly for a photgraphic pose, but then proceeded to outrun the rest of the kids in a game of chasy.

On our way home, we enjoyed the lights across the ranges of many fires. Normally - being so close to the road, fire would be alarming but in this case, there was no wind, the grass is still a little green and the fires travel very slowly. They are lit by the local Aboriginies each year at this time to reduce the risk of a major bushfire later in the year when everything is dry.
