Still catching up on posts - here is a photo of some of the scenery we saw whizzing past whilst heading back from 'Home Valley' which is just 80km along the Gibb River road (gravel road with bumps ruts and river crossings.
We also crossed 'The Pentecost', which is apparently very well known in 4wd circles.
We returned to our work this week refreshed and well rested.
Maurie put in another huge week slashing, raking and baling the many paddocks here.
Chris and Peter began the digging of the many holes for guy rope anchors
I began bending and welding the steel reo cages for the concrete and the frames for the TX airconditioners
Dave and Maralyn tagged putting in many hours on shift in the TX building
Jodi continued to homeschool our kids and prepare food for the outdoor workers
Wendy began her new job in the Kununurra classroom
Brenda continued to work in town to fund herself and Dave
Gwyneth continued to do the accomodation and office work
Bill whilst struggling with illness still worked hard around the farm, pruning, gardening, mowing and running the sprinklers
The kids continued to capture wildlife and make cubbies in the trees
Markus was farewelled and returned to Switzerland (many thanks to Markus for his work in the TX bulding)
And Daniel and Rachel continued to rally support on their deputation jouney through the southwest.
All in all, it has been a very satisfying week and we are very thankful to God for good weather, good health and good fellowship.
Days are getting cooler, now 35 deg is normal and humidity is decreasing. Working conditions are much improved with the slight decrease in temperature.
